Bryan Randall was born on May 11, 1966 in Modesto, California to Robert Randall and Donna (Moses) Randall. Bryan’s father played football at Western Oregon University and his uncle Mike Moses was a tight end for the Denver Broncos. Bryan started playing football when he was five years old and he would go to midfield to take kicking balls away from his brother. After high school, Randall enrolled at Boise State University where he played offensive tackle for the Broncos from 1984-86. He then transferred to the University of Oregon where he made the varsity team as a walk-on player in 1987 and became a starter his junior year. In 1988, Randall was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round (22nd overall) of the NFL Draft. The 49ers traded him to the Minnesota Vikings in 1990 where he played until 1993. After leaving the NFL, Randall became an assistant coach at Oregon from 1994-98 before becoming head coach at Illinois Wesleyan University in 1999. From 2000-2004, Randall was head coach at Southern Utah University where he led the Thunderbirds to three playoff appearances and two FCS national championships.
